The Unity Garden is a microcosm of the Earth, our only home.
It reminds us of our belonging to the diverse and interconnected family of life on Earth.
Every time we sow a seed or water a plant, we take care of our local ecosystem and of our entire planet.
The Unity Garden strengthens our bonds of kinship to all life, and awakens our responsibility to care:
for the Inner Home of our shared humanity, for the Local Homes of our communities and cultures,
and for the one Earth Home we all share.

Unity Gardens Worldwide
Purpose
Each Unity Garden fosters unity, peace and harmony between the diversity of peoples, cultures and ecologies on our shared home planet, Earth. Each Unity Park is unique, grounded in its local culture and geography. Yet, all Unity Gardens are connected across all borders in common purpose: to amplify our shared intention to live in unity and peace with the diverse and indivisible family of life on our one home, Earth.

Contribution to Unity, Peace and Harmony
between People and Cultures, and with Nature:
Unity Gardens enable people of all ages and backgrounds to contribute, in a culturally appropriate way and according to their local realities, to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially: Zero Hunger (SDG 2), Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3),
Life on Land (SDG 15), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Quality Education (SDG 4), and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16). Unity Gardens support the rights of nature and humanity's right to a healthy environment
(UN General Assembly Declaration - 2022). This Unity Garden and all Unity Gardens emerging worldwide will contribute, with their pluriversal and multicultural experience, to the United Nations Decade of Culture for Sustainable Development (2027-2036).
Unity Gardens: Contributing Together to Integral Sustainable Development, and to Local and Planetary Regeneration:
In each Unity Garden, the diverse countries on Earth are represented (not by exotic or imported trees, but) by a variety of local, endemic and locally appropriate trees and plants, which offer a range of aesthetic, nutritional, medicinal, soil-regeneration and eco-system restoration benefits.
Unity Gardens contribute to several SDGs, including: zero hunger (SDG 2), health and wellbeing (SDG 3), life on land (SDG 15), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11); quality education (SDG 4); Peace
and Justice (SDG 16). Furthermore, they complement and transcend individual SDGs with an integral, cultural approach.
Inclusive, Regenerative Future Building:
All Unity Gardens are part of the Earth Campus of the for regenerative Future Building.
Unity Gardens are thus an interconnected, participatory planetary initiative to engage all people of all backgrounds, cultures and ages everywhere on Earth to rediscover our own humanity through the appreciation of the unique values of diverse cultures, and to experience harmony with nature, peace with all cultures, and unity with the family of life on Earth.

Unity Gardens are planted by schoolchildren and Homes for Humanity communities in each country during the stages of the “One Home Journey.”
Local communities sow seeds, plants, and local, endemic, traditional, and medicinal trees to protect their biodiversity, restore local ecosystems,
promote food sovereignty and security, and improve local well-being. The trees represent the diversity of the Earth’s countries and cultures; thus, Unity Gardens
cultivate living together, cultural harmony, and planetary regeneration. The goal is to see one or more Unity Gardens flourish in every country in the world –

at Home for Humanity's Integral Home Campus in France
Welcome to the original Unity Garden, created by Home for Humanity in Haut Valromey, Aîn, FRANCE,
and classified as an eco-cultural HERITAGE SITE of the BUGEY-SUD Community of communes.
It was created in 2020 by the co-founders of Home for Humanity to cultivate and celebrate the unity
and diversity of our countries, cultures, and ecosystems. Endemic trees were planted here by international partners
and local residents to represent their countries of origin and honor the unique cultural richness
they bring to our planet.
Trees are also planted to represent the countries progressively covered by the “One Home Journey 2024-2030,”
a collective expedition around the world led by Home for Humanity.
This journey highlights exemplary local initiatives - “Homes for Humanity” – in each country, and connects Earth citizens beyond borders to co-create a peaceful and regenerative future for all life on our planet.
This Unity Garden is its evolving reflection.
It is the first in France, of over 30 worldwide. Crafted on this site by him, his wife, the artist Marika Pogačnik,
and five other international artists from the Lifenet network, this artwork is their gift to humanity and to our region.
Each cosmogram engraved on the stones is unique, designed by its artist to deepen humanity's connection to nature
and to the diverse family of life on Our One Home: the Earth, "Gaia."

by the renowned UNESCO Artist for Peace, Marko Pogačnik (Slovenia).
Peace Pole in Original garden gifted by our partner May Peace Prevail on Earth
& planted on 15 June 2024 at a local- global event by our close partner Dr Rajagopal, founder of Ekta Parishad, India’s largest social justice movement of landless peasants and Indigenous peoples. He is known as the living Mahatma Gandhi of India.

Since 2020, numerous multicultural events have been held in the Original Unity Garden, bringing together the local community of Bugey, Home for Humanity's planetary partners, visitors from neighbouring countries, and the international community.
11 September 2021: Initial Dedication
and Public inauguration of Gaia culture
5 June 2022: Opening of Unity Park
and Gaia Culture Installation
2nd to 4th November 2022: Numerous sessions of University courses taught at Home for Humanity have also been held here.
6 July 2023: It is also a site enjoyed by the local community for special events, such as the cultural festival of the Montessori School of Bugey Sud
