25 Nov 2023: Championing WOMEN FOR THE EARTH

to mark the UN International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The One Home UnivEARTHsity will give 25 scholarships in every country on Earth over the next 5 years during the One Home Journey to highly motivated women emerging from violence and oppression to become leaders of their community and our world. We salute all the remarkable women pioneers who have founded women-led Home for Humanity organisations on all continents, overcoming personal and societal violence, oppression, destitution or exile themselves. They will inspire and mentor the Women for the Earth scholars.

Long-Term Impact

With up to 875 Women for the Earth from 35 countries across all continents each year, a total of over 4000 such remarkable women leaders will be championed from all 195 countries on Earth by 2029!

Upcoming launch and a call for gifts and support

We are very excited to be launching the Women for the Earth Scholarship which will be an integral, educational programme of the One Home UnivEARTHsity, part of the One Home Journey, spanning from 2023-2030, for committed women leaders.

The One Home UnivEARTHsity champions women's capacity to transform oppression into power and to embody integral leadership that nurtures the wellbeing of all life on Earth.

Each year, up to 25 scholarships will be given, in each of the 35 countries covered to women emerging from violence and oppression who feel deeply called and committed to become integral leaders in their communities and to regenerate their societies and the Earth. We're therefore calling for gifts/the sharing of resources in order to support these scholarships and emerging women leaders.

The Programme

Scholars will follow the One Home UnivEARTHsity’s Mother Earth

Dipl-Home, (12 months). Connected with peers, country-wide and worldwide, in mutual support, they:

  • Develop their authentic presence, purpose and inner power as integral women leaders

  • Heal and transcend their past, and unlock and express their originality and creativity

  • Innovate holistic initiatives that foster a culture of peace and integrity, gender equality and respect towards women, while regenerating culture, society and the Earth.

  • Generate meaningful regenerative livelihoods to be financially independent and partake in an economy of wellbeing.

They receive an in-country intensive when the One Home Journey reaches their country and they'll present their initiatives publicly and be recognised locally and globally.

Inspiration and Mentoring by Women Pioneers worldwide:

This programme builds on our very long term engagement and support to women. Scholars will engage with incredible women founders and co-founders of pioneering Homes for Humanity who have themselves overcome personal and structural violence, oppression or exile and become leaders in society. They include:

  • Dr. Sujata Khandekar and Mumtaz Sheikh, CORO/Women's Federation in India

  • Zahira Kamal, Women’s Coalition in Palestine

  • Prof. Nilima Bhat, Shakti Leadership International and Moje Kasheer in Kashmir

  • Prof. Irena Ateljevic, Terra Meera in Croatia

  • Christina Moyo Taranhike, Integral Kumusha in Zimbabwe

  • Thais Corral, SINAL Do Vale in Brazil

  • Makeda Cheatom, World Beat Center in the USA

  • Dr. Rama Mani, Home for Humanity Movement.

Women for the Earth scholars will gain essential skills in Trauma Healing and Well-Being from Kajsa Liedén, Founder of Wake Well-Beings, Home for Humanity India/Sweden.

A call for your help and support

Can you imagine if all of us, as concerned Citizens of the Earth, could collectively transform our deeply divided world into a united home for humanity and the diversity of life on Earth? We can!

The One Home Journey, One Home UnivEARTHsity and all the work we do is underpinned by a Regenerative Gift Economy which we all can partake in and benefit from. To fund scholarships for women from marginalised backgrounds, we have a Collective Citizens' Campaign to which we invite you and all Earth citizens to join.

Our goal is that all these gifts will cover the first 500 WOMEN FOR THE EARTH spread across all world regions, in the 35 countries we will visit in the first year.

With love and gratitude and we hope to see you in the programme if you're one of these committed, emerging women leaders and/or if you're someone with the ability to share resources and gift scholarships in order to contribute to transforming our world into a united Home for Humanity caring for the life and well-being of all.
