During our One Home Journey at the end of May—while war still cast its heavy shadow over the country—we encountered one of the most inspiring examples of community-led regeneration we have ever experienced.

From Neighborhood Care to Urban Innovation

Founded by Imane Assaf and sustained today by a remarkable, multi-generational team of volunteers, Ahla Fawda (which translates to "Beautiful Chaos") began simply as neighbors deciding to care for one another.

Today, it has grown into a vibrant urban innovation ecosystem. This incredible initiative is actively transforming waste into value, rubbish into livelihoods, and crisis into enduring hope. Ahla Fawda reminds us that true renewal begins the moment people choose compassion over despair, creativity over resignation, and community over isolation.
