Sarvodaya is one of the foundational homes in the Home for Humanity Movement and we celebrate a long track record of close cooperation over the past 12 years. The organisation believes in the power of people and is the largest development organisation on Sri Lanka, reaching over 15 000 rural communities with its innovative programmes and activities!

Sarvodaya literally means the “awakening of all” and is a unique grassroots movement which promotes holistic and integrated development – from the individual to family, from village to society. The movement works towards creating a non-poverty, no-affluence society through integrated community-based efforts and volunteerism. In 2023, Sarvodaya launched “Artha Dharma”, as a scientifically grounded, value-based transformation of economy, society and governance – responding the urgent call for rebuilding the Sri Lankan society.
