A three times nominate for the Nobel Peace Prize, Scilla had been developing effective dialogue between nuclear weapons manufacturers, policy-makers worldwide and their critics, with the Oxford Research Group. In 2002, Scilla founded Peace Direct to fund, promote and learn from local peace-builders in conflict areas. In 2003 was Awarded the Niwano Peace Prize. Today her full attention is on developing the Business Plan for Peace initiative, resulting from her 2017 book The Business Plan for Peace: Building a World Without War.

In this conversation, Scilla Elworthy calls us to live up to the great evolutionary #opportunity that today’s crises provide us with: to transcend national boundaries and act as a whole, #integrated planet. She points towards the new possibilities for #collaboration and #peacethat the current times of #transition have catalysed.
