BIO:

Dr. Eda Elif Tibet is an award winning documentary filmmaker and an anthropologist. She founded KarmaMotion (2011) through which she has directed, filmed and produced numerous award winning documentary films :Ait Atta: Nomads of the High Atlas (2020), Ballad for Syria (2017), Refugee Here I Am (2015), Hey Goat! (2014), AMCHI (2013), 28 Days on the Moon (2012). Three new films are being published (2024): Awakening a Fairy Tale , Home for Humanity and Our Common(s) Story. Her films circulated in more then 100 film festivals around the world and broadcast on TVs , Big Screen and Digital Streaming Platforms (ARTE TV, NatGeo, IZ TV,TRT, Habitat TV, CNN, NTV, BBC , AlJazeera). She is passionately preparing and working towards her first fiction film (forthcoming, 2027). She is the founder and director of EthnoKino Film Festival (since 2020) happening in Bern,Berlin, Mexico City, Patagonia, Cappadocia, Marrakech, New Delhi. She recently launched the EthnoKino Doc Impact Lab for Mov(i)ement Fellows where she facilitates the mentoring of 40 emerging talents from across the globe.
