Encompassing vastness, ocean winds, inner-peace and inclusiveness, Mahatma Gandhi's compassionate words “Humanity is Ocean” are like a compass, directing us to the true nature of our individual and collective heart/ mind; the openness of all.
Imagining timeless depths of giant water masses and waves, the sounds, and multiple lives in the ecosystems beneath and above the water surface, all interconnected in one planet and with the universe.

Flutist, composer, educator, and Fulbright scholar, Yael Acher "KAT" Modiano/ ModianoMusic performs fundraising concerts for organizations serving LGBTQ+ homeless youth, women development centers, children aid, domestic violence survivors, and more. Interactive concerts at shelters for domestic violence survivors, Youth detention centers. Conscious raising concerts with Contemporary Flute & Video, Live Soundtracks to silent films, and Palestinian-Israeli artistic collaborations for raising Hope.

Music and Arts connect us directly to our hearts/minds. They help cleanse the traces left behind by the destructive actions of the few. Artistic performances and events connect people locally and across oceans. As artists and educators, we stand in solidarity with those who are left behind. We utilize our gifts as groundbreakers, as catalytic agents, to inspire imagination and radical hope for a sustainable peaceful social change.

Music Activism on 3 levels: 1. Music and Arts performances in collaborations with organizations that serve, support and advocate for social change and peace.
2. Interactive therapeutic concerts for people in marginalized communities.
3. Co-creating and performing Interdisciplinary concerts/events for peace with artists from all sides of war zones.

Impact-to-Date

Interactive fundraising concerts support marginalized communities like LGBTQ+ homeless youth, women development centers, children in poverty, and domestic violence survivors. Therapeutic concerts are held at shelters, youth detention centers, and hospices in NYC and NJ. These events often feature live soundtracks and silent film screenings.
