HOMES FOR HUMANITY
WE LIVE TOGETHER AS AN EARTH COMMUNITY
We aspire to live and work in joyful and caring communion with Nature,
and to nourish loving and healing relationships between all members of the Earth Community.
All our homes have the potential to become launchpads for human, ecological, cultural, and economic renewal, especially in this time of global emergency.
As Homes for Humanity,
connecting across continents, transcending borders and ideologies,
we can jointly lay the foundation for an inclusive earth civilization.
As Homes for Humanity ...
...we support the emergence of Homes for Humanity and connect them across cultures. Each home offers a safe and stimulating space for creative community engagement, where people enquire together and shape humane and innovative responses to the burning issues in our societies.
The hosts of each Home for Humanity develop a unique ‘Manifesto’ based on the Humanity Charter, as a roadmap for the contribution they seek to make to the Earth Home. The Manifesto of each Home for Humanity combines the calling, commitment and skills of its hosts with the pressing needs of the respective context, community and culture.
The Homes for Humanity are a simple yet transformative means to ensure that every one of us can contribute to the rise of a joint Earth Civilisation from the foundation of our own home, however modest it may be, by fulfilling our unique calling and commitment. Today the world over, our societies have become divided, our communities separated, our social distance widened. Even in our changing times, with COVID and social distancing, Homes for Humanity provide a safe and regenerative way to weave a renewed fabric of care and engagement in our fragmented societies.

HOSTING A
HOME FOR HUMANITY
Motivated individuals keen to transform their own homes or organisations into homes for humanity undergo an immersion course in Home for Humanity’s philosophy and practice. They are supported to develop a Manifesto for their Home, elaborating how they will seek to realise the Humanity Charter’s aspirations and be of service in their society, based on their own calling and skills, and the needs of their community. They are connected with the hosts of other Homes for Humanity in a co-mentoring ecosystem of mutual support. Together, Homes for Humanity, connected across continents and cultures, form the seedbed for a regenerative future.
HOMES FOR HUMANITY
AS REFUGES
FOR INCLUSION AND CONTRIBUTION
We live in times of uprootedness. An unprecedented number of people have been forced out of their homes due to conflict, economic or ecological deprivation, many of whom seek asylum as refugees in foreign lands. From the Dalai Lama to Einstein, ‘refugees’ have enriched their host countries in innumerable ways with their wisdom, culture and experience.
These homes for humanity are hosted by so-called ‘refugees’ or asylum seekers in host countries. They provide an invigorating cultural and humanitarian space for mutual discovery, respect and co-creation. They offer host-country citizens a unique way to meet, befriend and form collaborations or working relationships with refugees and asylum seekers they might otherwise not meet. They transform otherness, isolation and alienation into inclusion, belonging and contribution.
