Environmentalism

Unity Circle members are beacons of humanity, who embody compassion, courage and creativity, and inspire reverence for the unity of life. Like the Earth family, they span diverse cultures, ecosystems and continents. They have pioneered new paradigms in their respective disciplines and countries. They bring the breadth and depth of their experience in politics, economics, education, international peace and security, justice, indigenous wisdom, health, art, culture and citizen activism from different continents to the common endeavour of shaping an inclusive, just and regenerative future for all life on Earth. Members are nominated to serve on the Unity Circle for an initial period of 12 months.

The Unity Circle serves as the Guardian over the Earth Home Alliance, and Home for Humanity family, and guides the realisation of the Humanity Charter. It also lays the foundation of the Earth Agora that is proposed to be launched in 2021. The Unity Circle members will draw on their collective intelligence to innovate an interactive design process for the Earth Agora.

The Earth Agora is a dynamically evolving life-based process that seeks to create a crucible of collective wisdom to accelerate our shared ability to navigate through the current planetary transition and shape an inclusive and regenerative future for all life on Earth.

It will do so by incrementally reaching out across the Earth to encompass the insights of ancient wisdom, emerging knowledge, and transformative initiatives across all cultures and continents. Progressively, it will co-learn, co-enquire, co-script and co-enact with representatives of humanity in unity from around the world. It will reach out to areas overlooked by global media, and draw insight and inspiration from how communities in different geographies/ecologies are facing and surmounting the challenges of planetary transition.

The harvested wisdom will be made available as a global commons to inspire humanity. It will also inform the continuous evolution of Home for Humanity’s programmes and Alliance initiatives.

During Covid 19, thirty uniquely inspiring and remarkably diverse individuals across five continents, 22 countries, multiple disciplines and three generations, opened their own homes and hearts to share their vision of "home" and their pioneering lifework and contribution to our shared Earth home.

They range from world renowned  and established organizational leaders and peacebuilders to young and emerging humanitarian and cultural activists. All thirty pioneers have experienced, collaborated with and/or contributed to shaping the Home for Humanity story over the years.

This first series of interviews was conducted by a dedicated team of seven young students from St Gallen University attending TRANS4M's "Reshaping International Development" course, who felt called to contribute to Home for Humanity’s mission through this programme.

The interviews testify to the potential each human being, each home, each organization and each culture holds to contribute to pioneering our shared future on our Earth home.

They also showcase the transformative power of education to create spaces of co-learning and mutual enquiry across generations, cultures and sectors, home to home and heart to heart.

The interviews will be released once a week on the Home for Humanity Youtube Channel starting on the International Day of Education, 24 January 2021.

"PHD FOR LIFE":

ENABLING PIONEERS FOR

HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT

This programme is for highly motivated individuals who are keen to make their pioneering contribution to the future of our Earth Home. Each participant receives transformative teaching, mentoring and guidance over a three-year process, as s/he identifies her/his deeper purpose. Participants are mentored as they develop transformative, creative and impactful innovations to address the issue of deepest concern to their society. They build up a powerful country-wide or issue-based ecosystem of allies and partners, to maximise scope and impact.

Participants undergo a life-changing process of integral transformation at all levels: the inner home, their own homes, organizations and communities, while they make a regenerative contribution to our Earth Home.

THE HOME FOR HUMANITY MOVIE

Switzerland (Bern) based filming duo: Dr. Eda Elif Tibet (award-winning film maker and visual anthropologist born in Istanbul) with Cihan Elci (biologist, photographer and Kurdish culinary artist) are passionately engaged in making a feature film on the story of Home for Humanity. With this film they aim to inspire and connect pioneers beyond borders across the globe.
